The Community Health Programs are responsible for delivering and promoting the community health component of the Whitefish Lake First Nation #128. Duties include: administering health programs, Medical home visits, Medical referrals/appointments, education and prevention.

  1. Elders Group - Tuesday Sept. 15th
  2. Immunizations - Every week on Wednesdays
  3. Weight Watchers Program - Every Tuesday 4:30pm (Weigh In)
    Meeting to follow 5:00-6:00pm
  4. Diabetes Program - includes Screening, Nutrition Councelling (call in for appt.)
    Slick-part of diabetes program (once a week/every month)-T.B.A
  5. Prenatal Care
    Momís Group-meet once every three months(contact nurse @ health centre for appt)
    *free milk and eggs coupons for mothers available @ the health centre
  6. Occupational Therapist and Psychologist-Every Thursdays
    *call in for appointment

    Councelling Services/NNADAP:
  7. National Addictions Awareness Week-begins November 17th,18th,19 (please have this on the calendar) workshop will include:
    • Sober walk
    • Guest speakers
    • Love your body-pedicures, manicures, hairstyles
    • Checkstops to promote sobriety
    *Councelling services also hosts an annual Halloween Dance *other activities will include:
    • AA Meetings - Every Wedneday at 8:00pm
